Business Wire - Fitch Withdraws Ratings on 3 Ameriprise Life Companies Following Merger
NEW YORK — Fitch Ratings has withdrawn the ‘AA-’ insurer financial strength (IFS) ratings of American Enterprise Life Insurance Company (AEL), American Partners Life Insurance Co. (APL) following their merger into IDS Life Insurance Company on Jan. 1, 2007. Fitch has also withdrawn the ‘AA-’ IFS rating of American Centurion Life Insurance Co. following its merger into IDS Life Insurance Co. of New York on Jan. 1, 2007. The two remaining life companies have been renamed RiverSource Life Insurance Co. and RiverSource Life Insurance Co. of New York.
Fitch maintains the following insurance subsidiaries’ IFS ratings at ‘AA-’ with a Stable Outlook:
